Benjamin Allen Saul has arrived

Look what the stork brought!

Benjamin Allen Saul was born at 12:04 PM on March 29th, weighing 7 pounds 12 oz and measuring 21 inches long (The same weight as Gage, but 2 inches longer). Both mother and baby are doing well.  We now get to re-learn how to function on short sequential nightly naps for a while.

We tried to take a picture of him that was similar to the picture of Gage that we posted two years ago when he was born for comparison since we kept looking up that picture to compare Benjamin and Gage while we were in the hospital.

Gage, Ben’s big brother, was able to come visit us in the hospital.  We had to laugh when one of the first things Gage did when holding his new brother was say “Honk” and honk Benjamin’s nose.

Here are our other visitors while we were in the hospital...

Ultra Exciting News

A new Saul is scheduled to join us April 1st - no joke. For this baby, we decided to be surprised at the birth rather than find out if the baby is a boy or girl during the ultrasound. Here are a few shots from the ultrasound showing that the baby does look like a baby, has feet, and rubs its eyes with its hands.

Eden Elizabeh Hale

The Hale kids stayed with us when Eden was born. They each made their own rubber ball and we even had enough leftover to make one for Eden.

Crib Stander

When I went in to get Gage after his nap this afternoon this is what I found...

He finally figured out how to stand up in his crib. We've been lucky that at 12 months old he's still fairly immobile. I guess it's time to put the mattress down to it's lowest setting.

Gage's First Birthday

Gage turned 1 year old on March 4th 2009.

He woke up to his first encounter with balloons, then started off his day with french toast and peaches for breakfast...which he loves.

He played with Boyd in the morning while Boyd's mommy worked.

In the afternoon he had his birthday party playdate.

A couple days later we had the family over for a birthday dinner

Glen did an awesome job on Gage's birthday cake. He made it a laptop and mouse in honor of Gage's love of electronics.

Gage wasn't sure what to think...he didn't really like getting his hands sticky...

but once he got a taste he devoured it!

We recorded Gage eating his cake from a tripod so we could make a cool time lapse video of it, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

We ended the night with a bath in the sink.
